Brian was educated at Lancing College Sussex, and started a career in retailing over 30 years ago. He has worked in a variety of operational and strategic management roles with Marks & Spencer plc, The Body Shop International plc, Whittard of Chelsea plc and, latterly, Culpeper UK Ltd. Brian now operates his own retail consultancy business, Plan B Retail Ltd, which offers interim and operational support to small businesses, either in development stages or with strategic change programmes.

Brian has always been interested in Arts & Crafts, primarily from a consumer's point of view, and was delighted to take up the opportunity of working with the NBA executive team in developing and delivering their commercial objectives. When not working, Brian can be found cycling through the Cotswolds, microlighting above the Cotswolds, or nowhere near the Cotswolds in his pursuit of following Chelsea Football Club.
