Sarah Beadsmoore weaves on a traditional eight-shaft loom. Colour and texture tend to direct her work. She uses high quality silk yarn, producing soft drape and lustre.

Sarah is happy to take individual orders for particular sizes, colour ways, scarves and all manner of interior furnishings.

10 February 2011

On Tuesday 15 Feb Sarah is off to Shetland for a week to do some research with the Ann Sutton Foundation Shetland.  She will be using one of their computerised AVL looms which will allow her to experiment and develop new ideas.  Her aim is to return later in the year for a longer period of time to enable her to complete a new body of work.

The visit is part of a partnership developed by Stroud International Textiles (SIT) and the Creative Industries Shetland.

See the Stroud International Textiles website for information about the 2011Textiles Festival taking place from 30 April to 22 May.  New Brewery Arts will be working in partnership with SIT showing work in our main gallery.
