Springworks
Oxford Printmakers
18 January - 11 March
Free admission
We extend a warm welcome to The Oxford Printmakers for our first exhibition of 2012 - Springworks - a collection of recent work inspired by this optimistic season!

The Oxford Printmakers is a long established workshop set up in 1976 when a group of artists, many from the Ruskin School of Drawing, wanted to continue their work at a time when there were few print workshops in the UK and none within the Oxford area.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see work by a large number of new and prominent printmakers (there are some 80 members), and to appreciate the vast array of printing techniques in use, varying from vibrant innovative styles to more traditional methods developed since the 16th century: collagraphy, etching, monoprinting, chine collé, drypoint, screenprinting, woodcut, inocut, wood engraving and stone lithography.
There will be a display of tools and equipment used as well as a video showing the artists at work.
