The Edge of Enchantment
Edwina Bridgeman
14 July - 2 September
Free admission
The Edge of Enchantment was inspired by Edwina Bridgeman's recent move to a small village outside Bath, fulfilling her long held dream of living in the countryside
Installation and associated works and paintings were created as a response to her new landscape - the very one that inspired Peter Blake and the Brotherhood of Ruralists back in the 1970s.
Although highly personal, Edwina’s work celebrates universal themes which we can all recognize and celebrate. Her welcome return to New Brewery Arts will see the gallery filled with small scenes, daily happenings and events linked to the seasons - all populated by ‘found wood’ people and objects creating an enchanted landscape.
