This Autumn, Wetpaint Gallery is moving into the Brewery Arts Pop Up Gallery for two weeks with a showcase exhibition of new, exciting prints and paintings by some of the gallery’s favourite artists.
The exhibition will herald the start of the festive season and will include artists such as Emma Dunbar, Mark Demsteader, Anita Klein, Trevor Price, Cathy Ramsay Carr and Fran Spencer and Yoshikazu Tanaka.
Among the works on show will be prints by Eric Gill, one of the most colourful figures in early 20th century art, despite the majority of his prints being in black and white.
Renowned for his unequalled clarity of line that has made his work so sought after, Gill’s subject matter swung between the deeply religious and the highly erotic, a direct echo of his eccentric life.

This is a new departure for Wetpaint and the gallery is hoping to attract a new audience by having a presence in the heart of the town.

‘We are what’s known as a ‘destination location’, often a little too far off the beaten track for passing trade.’ says gallery owner Celia Wickham.
‘We are hoping that this exhibition will give new visitors the opportunity to see what we do without having to walk out of town. We will have lots of exciting things at affordable prices to tempt buyers into the festive season and we hope the exhibition will encourage more people to venture out to see us in the future.’
