Cotswold Open Studios 2013

a biennial artist-led initiative

Cotswold Open Studios 2013Explore the hidden treasures on

Sat 29 and Sun 30 June

9.30am-5pm each day

Gloucestershire is fast becoming a number one destination for the arts and June is the month to get out and enjoy the huge variety of visual arts in the county.

Cotswold Open Studios is an artist-led initiative with well over 25 exhibitors (at 16 venues) around Cirencester, now in its third year. The ‘hidden treasures’ (from textile specialists to master craftspeople and from artists and printmakers to sculptors) demonstrate that the Arts and Crafts movement is as alive today in Cirencester as it was in the 19th century.

There are so many creative people tucked away, right on the doorstep, who are throwing open their doors to the public for the weekend. This is a wonderful opportunity to see a working studio; to meet and talk to artists, designers, craftspeople and sculptors; to watch them at work; and to find out about the making process. Many of the venues are in stunning locations with beautiful gardens.
