Crafted for Christmas

Frances Clark-StoneCrafted for Christmas

Saturday 26 November 2011
- Monday 2 January 2012

Admission to the gallery is free

During the summer of 2011, we sent out a 'Call for Makers' to encourage new and established artists and craftspeople to apply for our Christmas show.  We were particularly looking for makers who are producing exciting, innovative and contemporary work.

Crafted for Christmas, a new venture for New Brewery Arts,  showcases handmade, high quality, affordable crafts including textiles, prints, glass, ceramics, wood sculpture and jewellery.

Deirdre Figueiredo, Director of Craftspace, sat on the selection panel - and we have chosen to exhibit the work of 18 of the best contemporary makers around.

Exhibiting and selling work at New Brewery Arts

In an exciting new initiative, we welcome proposals from professional artists, groups, educators and curators who want to present new work within the gallery.   Our aim is to present a programme of contemporary craft and visual art exhibitions that inspire, excite and challenge people of all ages.   We are particularly interested in proposals which engage with our existing education programme.
