To get the Only Words exhibition off to a fantastic start visual artist Hazel Evans, artist in residence at Lighthouse Centre for the Arts in Poole, the largest arts centre outside of London, will be performing a live piece, Artefacts, on the opening day.
Artefacts is a quirky live art performance that transports the viewer to a surreal setting where an extravagant museum curator creates fake artefacts. The piece embraces fiction and storymaking and invites you into an imaginary world that blurs the line between fantasy and reality.
Hazel, working closely with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO), has developed a particular affinity for music and dance as a source of inspiration for her art. She is delighted to be performing Artefacts live at the opening of Only Words.
