Tom Gowen presents a selection of recent landscapes in oil from travels in Europe and the UK.
Tom lives in the Cotswolds and loves to evoke emotion using the colours produced by his local landscape.
"I cannot remember a time when I was not drawing and painting. It is simply how I live.
I am educated in fine art and this has broadened my view and allowed me to freely work out what I want to achieve with my work and what interests me.
When I work with paint I enjoy the feel of using natural material to depict the beauty I see in nature. I always develop a piece by thinking long and hard about the emotive, what it is that I feel I want to share.
When the work goes well I like to think it will go to a good home -that someone will enjoy that reaction whenever they look at it."
