Brewery Arts Community Choir

led by Sophie Sterckx

Wednesday evenings: 7.30pm – 9pm

The Theatre at New Brewery Arts

Spring term starts Wednesday 10 April

We are a lively, vibrant world music choir singing a variety of styles including contemporary, folk, gospel, spirituals, traditional and seasonal songs from the UK and around the world.

With an emphasis on the enjoyment of singing together in harmony, a rich and wonderful chorus of sound fills the Brewery Arts theatre each week.  Songs are taught by ear so no music reading skills are needed, however words or sheet music are provided at times.

Singing is good for the heart and soul and can leave you feeling uplifted and energised, while being part of a local choir can be a hugely rewarding and fun social experience.

Regular attendance is encouraged in order for you to keep up with the repertoire of songs and for you to get the most out the whole experience. Sophie will aim to organise at least two community based concerts per year. Performing is not compulsory but for many it provides a welcome focus and outlet for all the hard work.

Please bring a bottle of water to every session.
