Michelle Watling is a qualified teacher, designer and maker, who has taught for many years in schools, colleges and craft centres. She has a Masters from Birmingham City University School of Jewellery, specialising in mixed media contemporary jewellery design.
Michelle’s work takes inspiration from nature and the many textile techniques that she has developed over the years. Her work has been featured in Design Technology books, magazines and the Sunday Express supplement, Carry Grant from Fame Academy wears one of her designs.
At present Michelle has work in a number of galleries. She has worked with Open Studios and is one of the artists in Bylocal.
