Heart of Mind
I have been on a very slow journey that has brought me to where I am now. I am not sure that I could describe the now so maybe this is still part of the journey. Do I believe that it is not the destination but the journey that is significant? Yes I do. Do I think there is ever a desitnation? Yes I do.
My life is like a painting, it is created by me but completed by the observer.
For most of my life creating has been my passion. Through art I can express the wonder and curiosity I feel about the world I live in. I work in an abstract way which reaches people who think in an abstract way. Most of the time I like to confront the observer emphasising an idea not an image.
I am constantly drawn to new ways of expressing myself bringing together daily life interpretation and artistic approaches, handcraft and technology.
My paintings are expressions of my life ponderings and emotional rersponses as they appear.
Because of this I paint freely and passionately and almost paint for the sake of it. I have no regard for the commercial value of any creation at the point of creating it.
