A chance to explore the discipline of the life drawing studio. For centuries, a requirement of art school was to teach the art of drawing and the art of seeing. Every week is designed to give the artist the maximum chance to express their own individual drawing style.

What you will need:
Pencils (HB, 4B, and 6B), Charcoal, Pastels, Erasers

Week 1 25th April Charcoal. 

Use the charcoal with chalk to produce a classical style to your artwork.

Week 2 2nd May Pencil.

This time produce the classical technique of line and shade to your art work.

Week 3 9th May Colour.

Use colour to produce the hue and tones of the body. Pastel.

Week 4 16th May Scribble, Splash and other marks.

An experimental session getting away from the classic and express in marks and splashes of paint.

Week 5 23rd May Movement in Drawing.

See how using several drawing together can give you movement to your art work assorted mediums.

Week 6 6th JunTaking a line for a walk.

Start off and just keep going but don’t keep your eyes off the model or hand off the paper.

Week 7 13th June Just Ink.

Using just ink lets see how the blackness of the line can give a confidence to your drawing.                                                                                                                           

Week 8 20th June just Paint.

Explore the world of brush and colour and see how to use it.

Week 9 27th June Canvas painting

Using acrylics paint see how expressive you can be on this classic surface.

Week 10 4th July Canvas Painting.

Using oil paint discover why this is the classic of all art mediums.
