A chance to explore the discipline of the life drawing studio. For centuries, a requirement of art school was to teach the art of drawing and the art of seeing. Every week is designed to give the artist the maximum chance to express their own individual drawing style.

Week 1. Drawing in coloured Pencil.

See how colour can give a lift to your drawing, an undervalued pencil more in the tradition of Klimt and Schiele.

Week 2. Painting in acrylic.

A chance to do some quick painting due to its quick drying time lets see if we can take advantage and lay on some background colours and then paint the model on top.

Week 3. Drawing in charcoal.

Get mucky and expressive with this versatile medium. Rubbing it and taking it away with a rubber are just two of the techniques you can use.

Week 4. Painting in watercolour.

Explore the light, what watercolour gives is a sensitivity no known in other mediums.

Week 5. Drawing in pastel.

Colour and expression, more similar to oil painting than drawing.

Week 6. Painting in mix media.

Mix them up and give a go, and see if they complement each other.

Week 7. Drawing in oil pastels.

Instant and colourfull, uses the art of drawing to its maximum learn how to control this pastel and its surprises the artist everytime.

Week 8. Drawing in Graphite.

Dark and mysterious, using pencil, stick and powder!!!.

Week 9 and 10. Painting in oil.

Paint in the classical way, from drawing to technique a chance to show of your skills over two weeks.
