Solo show with songs – written & performed by Howard Timms
Directed by Jilly Breeze

Have you seen my mother? In her nineties, forgetful. Sometimes we connect by singing. Then she talks – about my drag queen grandfather, my sister who died, or who’s my father – what!? But often she’s funny. . .
In Tune With DEMENTIA premiered in Chicago Fringe Festival in 2011 as Let The Lady Sing:
“This show has it all, from humour to heartbreak.” [Pat Curtis] “Howard’s stunning singing voice. . . he sharply and instantaneously shifted from character to character.” [Lynn Cooper]
Howard’s writing and editing career started with his school magazine, which was followed by a career in book and newspaper journalism. He began fiction writing with stories in 2000 and plays in 2004, and several of his plays and musicals have been performed in the United States and Britain. Howard is a network playwright at Chicago Dramatists; a member of the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre Writers Lab and the Cheltenham Playhouse Theatre Company; and co-founder of Playhouse New Drama. Howard has performed in musicals, operas, and plays in London, Edinburgh, Chicago, and his home town of Cheltenham.
