Use photoshop to digitally manipulate images, then learn how to turn these into image transfers which will then be applied to a surface of choice such as watercolour paper, artist boards and canvases to create a collage.
During the workshop you will also learn how to dye papers, distress papers, and use other methods to add to the collage(s). This workshop combines the learning of both introductory digital and mixed media art concepts and skills that results in the creation of a collage.
This workshop introduces you to the following:
- Basic concepts and skills of image manipulation through the Adobe Photoshop application program using exercises and images provided by the instructor.
- Photoshop tools needed to apply certain effects to a photograph of the student’s choice that will result into an image transfer.
- Basic collage building techniques that will create and incorporate the image transfer into an individualised/unique collage.

What you will need:
Students must provide their own laptop with the latest Photoshop Elements or Photoshop CC (Creative Cloud) downloaded prior to the first day of class. (You can get the trial version online via Adobe which is usable for 30 days)
