A 2 day photography workshop with an excursion to Westonbirt Arboretum to capture the beautiful autumn colours.
What you will need: Your camera.
Residential option available. Find out our accommodation, costs and how to book here.
We will meet in the Community Room of The Barrel Store for a brief and presentation on how to get the most from your camera, including image composition and choosing the best settings to enable you to capture stunning images of the spectacular colours and textures at Westonbirt National Arboretum.
Then we will head to Westonbirt under our own transport, meet at the visitor centre and move into the grounds to put into practice much of what we discussed earlier. Graham will be on hand to guide, direct and give advice on any aspect of photography and will help you to access relevant and appropriate settings in your camera menu. He will also give guidance as to lenses, filters etc. as well as image construction and composition. There are facilities for food and drink if you wish to purchase it there or you can take your own with you.
At the end of our day we return to the Barrel Store for a quick appraisal of the days work.
We will meet in the Community Room and will review the previous days work then move into image processing. We will see how we can use Photoshop to enhance and obtain the best from those images captured. You will have a £5 lunch voucher to purchase lunch in the New Brewery Arts cafe.
