A course for watercolour painters to explore the wonderful medium of watercolour from choosing materials and stretching paper, to colour mixing and techniques for applying paint. Painting tasks and exercises will build your knowledge and skills. During the course we will also be covering drawing techniques which will enhance your painting skills.

Apply the techniques to your own painting projects as the course progresses.
Over the ten weeks you will continue to build your confidence and knowledge as you explore this wonderful medium and also develop your drawing skills.

What you will need:
Watercolour Paint – such as Winsor and Newton Cotman pans or tubes.
Watercolour Brushes - A selection of brushes specifically for watercolour such as the Pro Arte Prolene Watercolour Brush Set W5 (3 brushes that include 2 round brushes and 1 flat brush). 
Paper - Watercolour paper can be bought in pads or by the sheet and cut into smaller pieces. 
A Bockingford Spiral Watercolour Pad 12”x9”, CP (NOT) 300g/m (140lb), or a sheet of Bockingford Watercolour paper, CP (NOT) 300g/m (140lb), would be suitable.
A range of pencils (4B, 2B, HB, 2H), Eraser and Putty rubber
