Wk 1 Brambles in watercolour
Creating the effect on brambles with crumpled paper.
See how scratching out can make a great effect for undergrowth.
Wk 3 Blue skies , wet on wet.
With a low flat landscape and a blue sky, make a great bright summer painting.
Wk 4 Stormy skies, wet on wet.
The classic stormy landscape complete with wind-blown trees.
Wk 5Farm buildings, wet on dry.
Complete a pencil drawingand bring it to life with colour only watercolour can do.
Wk 6 Bridge over stream, wet on dry.
Paint first then draw and see how this way can give a much looser image to your watercolour.
Wk 7 Looking at Edward Piper.
One of the most underrated watercolourist, see if you can paint in the style of Edward Piper.
Wk 8 Flowers in a vase, classic watercolour
Simple and direct a classic exercise of observation and colourful and expressive painting.
Wk 9 The garden, Ink drawing and wash.
