Watermoor House project with New Brewery Arts2008-2011 Ongoing support for a weekly Art Shape Applied Art Course aimed at those facing barriers to participation in the arts.

 

2011 Artist-led weekly art sessions at Watermoor House Residential Home catering fro the elderly with limited mobility and motor skills. Topics include pottery, oil paining, printing, collage and mixed media.

 

2008-2011 Ongoing support for ARTLIFT, a countywide project in partnership with the Gloucestershire County Council and Primary Care Trusts to provide art activities for those suffering from isolation, depression, bereavement and low self esteem.

 

2008-2011 Ongoing work with Cirencester-based charity The Churn Project to provide arts opportunities for families with low incomes, unemployed people and those wanting to learn new skills.

  • Craft taster days
  • 8 week upholstery course
  • 6 week jewellery making course
  • 6 week felt making course
  • Artisans business development for people starting out in craft in partnership with Gloucestershire County Council adult Education department
  • Thursday group craft sessions for older people
  • Annual family arts activities at the Churn Fun day

 

2009 Mosaic Project with residents at Alstone House in Cheltenham - a care home for adults with early onset dementia. 5 residents worked with artist Anya Burzec to design and create 2 finished mosaic panels for their homes.

 

2007-2008 At Home in the Cotswolds - an extensive outreach project enabling 8 adults with learning disabilities from Chesterton Halt Day Centre in Cirencester to explore contemporary craft through workshops, visits and commissioning work for their own homes.
