Bring some light into the dark winter days with these beautiful, glowing lanterns and candle-holders.
Porcelain paperclay is the perfect material for lighting – not only is it translucent but is can take incredibly delicate impressions. Artist Emily Joy has developed her own unique style and method of making paper-thin lanterns.
Come and discover some of the awesome properties of paperclay whilst making something that will inspire you through the winter; experiment with different impressions and stamps from plants to letters; create detailed shadow panels that the light can shine through. The lanterns can be made in a variety of shapes and styles from simple cylindrical candle holders to more complex laced together designs and even designs with handles.
