Love being creative? Budding textile designer? Learn how to use a sewing machine and create a number of textile projects.

To start the course the Young Designers will have an introduction to the sewing machines and get to grip with various stitch types. Throughout the 10 weeks they will form a book of fabric samples showing the different types of seams, these can then be kept as a reference guide. To start they will make an applique cushion to build confidence using machines. As we go further into the workshop they can develop on their skills by making a pyjama set or other wearable garment with embellishments.  The Young Designers will have the opportunity to design their projects on paper before we start the sewing process. At the end of the 10 weeks we will come together and showcase their projects.
