A unique workshop experience to create some weird and wonderful organisms in porcelain, run by exhibiting artist Aimee Lax.

The event will start with a slide show by the artist and a brainstorming session exploring the term 'SciFi Organism' through discussion and drawing exercises. Ideas are made into 3D using special porcelain clay, a strong white clay that requires no glazing. All students are encouraged to experiment with new tools and making techniques taught by the artist through demonstrations.

At the end of the 2 sessions each student will have a selection of small organisms that will be fired on-site, for later collection. Students also have the option of taking the finished objects away with them to fire elsewhere. This is a masterclass for experienced clay makers.
