You will be creating textures and grooves on paper using ordinary biro as a base for layers of colour using watercolour pencils. You will learn how to use water brushes with watercolour pencil and what it means to build up layers of darker and more detailed line and form.

A key aspect of this workshop is learning how to apply the right amount of pressure on the paper with pen and pencil to create softer or stronger effects in terms of tone and colour. This will help you understand the different ways one can enhance and improve sketches into completed paintings or larger scale drawings.
