Two days working with colour and fabric with Carole Waller, explore the ways in which you can use different techniques to put colour into cloth.
Paint with dyes, and screen print using open screens and paper stencils. Layering the already lovely colours will create even more colours and build up a complex image using. These are simple techniques which can be easily achieved at home. Marks can be controlled - or allowed to create themselves. Painting with liquid dyes allows the medium to run through the weave, whilst screen-printing places the colour exactly where it is wanted to add layers of colour and clear shapes over the painted layer.
