Got the throwing bug? Here is your chance to improve your throwing technique over a whole weekend!
As well as mastering the basic shapes of cylinder and bowl, we will introduce throwing off the hump, collaring, forming rims and lips, pulling handles and turning foot rings. Tuition will be through demonstration, one-one tuition, examples of finished work, as well as plenty of repetition practice.
The aim of the course is to develop your skills rather than take home lots of pots and you will have a wheel to yourself as the class will be limited to 4 students. Your best work will be fired and glazed for collection in a few weeks. This course if suitable for those with some throwing experience as well as competent throwers wanting to improve their confidence and size of pot. Beware! Throwing can become addictive!
