Discover a mindful approach to the art of photography in this one-day workshop. Use a camera, tablet or mobile phone. Ruth will advise on technical aspects if required, but the focus is very much on looking and creating photographs. Learn to look and really see! In this workshop you slow down and use photography to look again at the world around you.
By focusing on the present moment, you learn to really take notice and to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. You experience the opposite of 'snapping away'. Exploring themes such as colour, texture, form, light, reflection, the ordinary, and your relationship with the natural and built environment, you develop your creativity and learn to see so much more. The photography side of things is kept simple, low tech and fun. You can use any device you choose and the workshop is suitable for all abilities and levels of photography experience. You start off at Brewery Arts, exploring how to look and see differently, before going on a gentle walk around the town and Cirencester Park, creating photos in a calm and mindful way of this beautiful and inspiring place. This workshop will help you to improve your photography skills, as well as give you some simple tools that will help to reduce stress and improve your general wellbeing.
