Wk 1 The painters table.

An easel, paints, brushes and canvas etc , all assembled in a still life composition


Wk2 Winters trees.

The classic landscape in oils see how the trees are laid bare, but still character remains.

Expressive background/ drawing with brushes over top.

Wk3 A bank of snowdrops.

The classic winter flower reflecting the season  Impressionist technique.

Wk4 the market place in Cirencester .

Paint and describe the local market.

Expressive wild mark making .

Wk5 Abstract.

Looking at the American abstract expressionist and paint in their way of discovering colour and composition. Mark making within a controlled area .

Wk6 and 7. Recreate a painting by van gogh.

Recreate the lilac tree ,a beautiful painting,  see how copying can improve your art .Van Gogh’s expressive style.

Wk8 A still life of flowers in a vase.

A simple but complex subject matter, create the shape and colour but also its delicacy. Fine light brushwork.

Wk9 and 10 A painting of your choice.

A list of possibilities.

*A copy from an artist.

* landscape.
