Clay is one of the most abundant and adaptable materials on the planet and people have been making and exploring its versatility for millennia. Now it's your turn! In this varied introduction you'll be learning all the basic techniques of hand building; pinching, coiling and slab building, as well as learning to throw on the potter's wheel.

You'll also have the chance to experience a wide range of decorating techniques from creating surface texture and pattern to adding colour with slips (liquid coloured clays) and glazes. The course is aimed at the complete beginner (although there's plenty to learn for those with some experience!) and you'll move through the different techniques and processes at your own pace as the course is quite fluid.
