This is a course aimed at students who would like to learn how to make sterling silver jewellery. Students will be taken through health and safety issues, how to use soldering equipment as well as cleaning and polishing processes. Students will first learn how to make a ring then move on to make a chain bracelet or necklace. These projects will give the students the opportunity to learn wire manipulation, filing, hammering, sanding, soldering and finishing. A simple but stylish S clasp will be made to finish the design.

If time permitting an introduction to design will be included where students can then work on their own chain and decorative clasp projects.
