Tess Wakeling

Following a degree in Fine Art Sculpture, Tess has worked on many projects and exhibitions, working in paper, willow, fabric and fibre. Her ranges of paper-cut lighting explore pattern, print and colour, whilst providing a restful environment in the home.

Tess recently went on a research trip to Japan to look at traditional crafts and sculptural paper lighting, and has visited handmade paper factories in India to learnt about sustainability.

She currently teaches basket making to students with learning difficulties and complex needs, and also makes willow and fabric festival sculptures to highlight environmental issues out of her Bristol studio.
