What's Making Moves?Prev Next
We have lots to see and lots to do this coming term at New Brewery Arts.
We are thrilled to welcome back Automata Artist, Robert Race with his magical new exhibition 'Getting On' opening in our main gallery this Saturday. Robert Race has a long career in making things which move in a simple but interesting way. His inspiration comes from his travels around the world in search of traditional moving toys and his work covers automata, kinetic sculpture, exhibition design and interactive collections of toys and donation boxes for museums and galleries. His automata, which incorporate a wide range of natural, re-used and recycled materials, are a wonderful medium for conveying powerful ideas, often with humour, in accessible and thought-provoking ways.
