Join designer maker Lauren Holloway on this day workshop to learn how to sew a Christmas stocking.
In this workshop Lauren will teach you how to sew your own fabric Christmas wreath in a friendly and supportive environment. The perfect beginner-friendly workshop to get into the festive spirit and let your creative energy flow.
During this afternoon workshop, you will learn how to and practise using a domestic sewing machine. You will then choose from a selection of festive fabric to create your personalised Christmas stocking. You will learn how to applique a festive motif and how to construct the stocking including a fold over cuff.
You will leave this workshop with a unique, hand finished stocking to hang up at home and last for seasons to come.
Embrace the rain clouds this Autumn and make these fun hanging raindrop clouds from remnant fabrics, buttons, beads and pom poms. You will learn to make a 3D cloud form, from remnant fabric or perhaps you have your own fun fabrics that you want to recycle. You will use a cloud shaped pattern, learn how to sew it together, fill it with recycled wadding and then make and attach your raindrops. These mobile clouds look really affective when hung
