New Brewery Hearts offers free and reduced-cost places on our courses and workshops for people who would benefit from the wellbeing, confidence and connection that regular creativity brings.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need to know the right words.

is this for me?

Free and reduced-cost places are available for people who face barriers to accessing creative opportunities.

You might be:

  • Looking for support with your mental health or wellbeing

  • Feeling socially isolated or lacking routine

  • Living with a chronic illness or disability

  • Managing caring responsibilities

  • Experiencing financial pressure

  • Wanting to build confidence, skills or a pathway back into work

Everyone’s situation is different — we’re interested in your circumstances and how creativity could help.

What’s on offer

  • Free or reduced-cost places on any of our courses and workshops

  • Pottery, textiles, stonecarving, painting & drawing, printmaking and more

  • Courses run 5–12 weeks

  • Workshops range from half a day to a full weekend

  • Sessions take place in our wheelchair-accessible building in the centre of Cirencester

How much support can I receive?

You can apply for:

  • a fully free place, or

  • a reduced-cost place (50%)

This support covers the cost of the class. Unfortunately, we’re not able to cover additional costs such as travel, parking or childcare.

Who can apply?

Anyone can apply.

You’re also welcome to apply on behalf of someone else or make a referral — just get in touch and we’ll guide you.

How does the process work?

  • There is no closing date — applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, as places and funding allow

  • Decisions are made based on your application form or a conversation with us

  • At the moment, places are prioritised for new applicants

£15 funds one hour in the studios, giving someone time, space and support to create, connect and feel better.

We’re working toward 1,000 free creative hours every year — and we can’t do it without you.

New Brewery Hearts is made possible thanks to the generosity of our donors and funders, who believe creativity should be accessible to everyone.

WHAT'S ON

New Brewery Arts is the place to come and explore the best of British craft and creativity. We have over 100 weekly courses and short workshops on offer each term and regularly changing exhibitions.

STAY

Make a break of it and turn your workshop into a UK short break in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. You can stay overnight with us in our new guest accommodation – just select ‘residential’ when you book.
