This course is designed to build upon skills already acquired in either oil or acrylic painting. Both traditional and contemporary techniques of colour mixing and brushwork are taught with a versatile approach.

Subject matters include still life, landscapes, interiors and cityscapes.  Students take part in various exercises for example using a limited palette, alla prima, and more expressive ways to apply paint.  The course looks at the work of different artists for inspiration.
