Join Francis Martin in this 2-day drawing and oil painting workshop and deep dive into the innovative use of colour in the painted portrait

Working in oils, you will undertake colour theory exercises paired with an investigation into the application and optics of colour as used by artists from history. You will then put these ideas and skills into practise over the 2 days; drawing and painting from a live model.

Guidance in drawing, painting and colour theory will be given throughout the course, within a fun, friendly and supportive environment. The 2-days will give you time to immerse into portraiture and hone your skills in drawing, painting and using colour. You will gain an insight and understanding of how colour can be used to your advantage in painting the portrait.
