Join crochet expert Lisa Donaldson in learning the brilliant crochet technique of amigurumi and make your own little crochet bee to take home.
Over the course of the two and a half hour workshop, Lisa will teach you the stitches needed, how to work using a spiral technique, and will share some of her best tips and tricks. You will also learn how to increase and decrease stitches to create the right shape, how to attach toy eyes to your projects, and how to change colours. Lisa will support you in reading a pattern and creating your first small amigurumi item to take home.
You will leave feeling more confident to tackle other similar projects.
The amigurumi technique originated in Japan, and is the go-to style for making crocheted toys. However, the skills you will learn in this workshop can also be used to make a range of other items, including socks and baskets.
