Join textile artist Sue Green on this day workshop to learn how to embroider using grid work.
In this workshop, Sue will teach you the fundamentals of embroidery grid work. These will be broken down and taught with multiple demonstrations and one-to-one guidance.
You will start the day by constructing your grid using calico and lace. This will be sewn together on a sewing machine with simple zig-zag stitch to create a new piece of cloth. You will then be ready to plan your design using tea bag paper to transfer your images with hand stitching. There will be a range of images to use for inspiration or you are welcome to bring your own. This piece can be made more personal by using your own treasured lace.
You will leave this workshop with more confidence in embriodery and with a decorative cloth to frame or hang.
