Join mosaic artist Yvette Green and get into the festive spirit and create your own collection of sparkling mosaic Christmas decorations to hang on your tree or give as handmade gifts.

You'll begin by exploring a range of festive designs and ideas before choosing the decorations you'd like to make. With colourful and sparkly mosaic tiles, beads and paint to work with, you'll have plenty of opportunity to play with colour, pattern and texture and create designs that are unique to you.

You'll learn how to cut and position mosaic pieces, choose the right adhesives and carefully build up your designs. Depending on the decorations you choose to make, you'll also explore how to grout and finish your mosaics, with grout-free options available too.

You'll be guided throughout the workshop, with demonstrations, practical tips and individual help as you work. Whether you prefer to follow one of the ideas provided or add your own creative twist, you'll have the freedom to make decorations that suit your own festive style.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have created up to four mosaic Christmas decorations to take home, ready to add a little handmade sparkle to your tree or give to someone special. You'll also have gained an introduction to mosaic techniques and the skills to continue experimenting with your own decorations at home.

Suitable for all abilities, this is a relaxed and sociable pre-Christmas workshop – perfect for coming along on your own or enjoying some creative time with friends.

Meet Your Tutor - YVETTE GREEEN

Yvette Green is a stained glass mosaic artist based in Gloucestershire.

Originally from South Africa, Yvette trained in Botany and Education before working in mosaics for the last 13 years. Yvette mosaicked one of the large hares for the Cirencester March Hare Festival, 2014 and also for the Cotswold Hare Trail in 2017. She is a member of the Cotswold Craftsmen and the British Association of Modern Mosaics. She is excited about teaching her techniques and spreading some mosaic love.
