This 6-week course begins with you. What draws you in? What do you love? What happens when you trust that and follow it? You will be encouraged to embrace your individuality and find your own visual language.

From there, you will play. Reimagine found fabric, gel-print onto textiles, explore water-soluble fabric, improvised patchwork, appliqué, machine weaving, and modern stitched lace. Working with a What if? attitude, this is a process-driven course where experimentation, cross-pollination and happy accidents are all part of the journey.

Then you’ll layer, collage, and combine your experiments, letting one idea spark another and revealing unexpected connections and new directions.

Finally, you’ll explore display and framing — dreaming about how your textiles might move beyond the sample and become something more.
