Join designer maker Lauren Holloway on this day workshop to learn how to sew a personalised backpack.

In this workshop Lauren will teach the fundamentals of sewing. These will be broken down and taught with multiple demonstrations and one-to-one guidance. Lauren will first teach the basics of machine sewing to build confidence and skills along with learning essential troubleshooting techniques.

Over the course of the day, you will learn all aspects of using the sewing machine including threading and setting up, different stitches, applique, and making and joining pieces of a simple pattern. You will then make your own lined drawstring backpack with an outside pocket and appliqué design.

You will leave this workshop with confidence and skills in sewing using the sewing machine. You will have a hand crafted personalised back pack to be proud of.
