Join designer maker Lauren Holloway on this day workshop to learn dressmaking skills and sew your own skirt.
In this workshop Lauren will teach basic dressmaking and help you improve your existing sewing machine skills. These will be broken down and taught with multiple demonstrations and one-to-one guidance.
Over the course of the day, you will learn how to measure yourself and cut fabric for a skirt. You will construct and sew pockets, create an elasticated waist, and finally hem your skirt. You can customise your skirt by choosing your skirt length along with the size and placement of the pockets.
You will leave this workshop with further confidence and skills in sewing using the sewing machine and basic knowledge of dress making. You will have a hand crafted skirt to be proud of.
