Join textiles tutor Lucy Barraclough on this day workshop to learn how to make a floating cloud decoration.
In this workshop Lucy will teach you how to sew your own floating cloud decorations using remnant fabrics, buttons, beads and pom-poms.
During this workshop, you will learn to make a 3D cloud form. You will use a cloud shaped pattern to cut out the fabric and then, using the sewing machine you will learn how to sew curves to create the shape. You will fill the cloud decoration with recycled wadding to make it three-dimensional. Finally, you will make and attach your raindrops.
You will leave this workshop having gained some experience using the sewing machine and pattern cutting. You will have a unique, hand finished floating cloud decoration, ready to hang at home.
