Have you always wanted to make your own clothes and choose your own fabrics but not sure where to start?

Join experienced textiles tutor Lucy on this short course to learn how to carefully work through your own set of pattern instructions. Lucy will teach you how to read and interpret each stage of making your unique garment. You will get one-to-one guidance at each stage, including guidance on how to insert a zip or create darts, tucks or gathers, allowing you to develop your sewing techniques and build your confidence for future projects.

You will choose the pattern and fabric and Lucy will guide you through the process for the first cut and stitch, to final pressing of you garment.

This course is aimed at those who have some knowledge of using the sewing machine (even if a little rusty). Guidance can be given on appropriate fabrics and meterage required for your pattern, once you have booked your place.
