Whether you're picking up a crochet hook for the very first time or looking to build on the basics, this friendly, full-day workshop with crochet expert Lisa Donaldson, will help you grow in confidence and develop practical crochet skills at your own pace.

The morning begins with the fundamentals, learning how to hold your hook and yarn comfortably, create your first stitches, work in rows and rounds, change colours, and understand the language of crochet. Along the way, you'll explore common techniques, learn how to spot and fix mistakes, and gain plenty of hands-on practice through a series of small samples.

In the afternoon, you'll put your new skills into practice by creating a small crochet project. You'll learn how to read simple patterns and charts, discover how different stitches create shape and texture, and explore finishing techniques that will help you complete future projects with confidence. Individual guidance throughout the day means complete beginners can take the time they need to master the basics, while those with some experience can continue developing new skills.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have a solid understanding of the foundations of crochet, the confidence to tackle your own projects at home, and a handmade piece to remind you of the day's learning.
