Join ceramicist Chiara Coppola on this day workshop to learn to hand build a mug and spoon.

This hands-on workshop will guide you through making your own ceramic mug and matching spoon using handbuilding techniques. You’ll learn how to shape a mug from slabs of clay, form and attach a handle, and create a complementary spoon.

The session will cover key skills such as rolling and shaping slabs, joining clay securely, and refining form to create a functional and well-balanced piece. You’ll also explore simple surface decoration techniques to personalise your work, whether through texture, carving, or subtle detailing.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created a unique, handmade set ready to be dried, glazed, and kiln-fired after the session. Your finished pieces will be both practical and personal—perfect for everyday use or as a gift.
